Bringing out your inner rock star through communication!

I am a life-long student and lover of  storytelling. I'm fascinated  with the words we choose, how we use them and the power they have in all forms: verbal and nonverbal.  With an insatiable curiosity, I continue to study body  language, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), personal branding and master level writing for my growth and ability to bring my unique coaching and storytelling differentials to my clients.

If cost is your primary motivator, I'm not your girl

Our work is an investment. We are both investing our time. You are also have a financial investment and I have an additional investment of expertise and resources.

I do  not do "quick" carbon copy resumes.  I don't do cheap resumes. I won't undervalue you.

When we work together, I am personally vested. You work only with me. No ghostwriters, no subcontractors.  The minimum amount of time I spend on a resume is 10 hours. Ten hours of research, writing, editing, testing, fine tuning. This is an investment.

I am also invested in your success. This is why I include a training session in my program to teach you how to use the tools I will provide - without knowledge of how to use them, they become useless. I want you to be able to maximize your investment by learning how to keep your resume alive for other opportunities as your career grows/changes.

A few more things to know about me

My Philosophy

It is very simple: tell my  clients what they need to hear while providing the right tools and the  knowledge of how to use them to achieve their defined success.

As a Coach & Partner

I am a positive person, in almost all situations.

I am non-judgmental, respect confidentiality, direct communicator, supportive coach with a touch of sass.

Select Engagements

I do not accept  client's who don't need me or aren't ready to move forward. This is why I offer a free initial  consultation, for us to get to know each other.

Articles & Publications

I have been featured or included:  Forbes, Recruiter.com, The Huffington Post Women, The  Grindstone, The Indianapolis Star, Time.com, ABC.com, Good Morning  Indiana and The Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ.com).

Speaking & Workshops

I have been privileged to facilitate workshops for a wide range of organizations including  National Association of Resume Writers National Convention, EDUCAUSE Annual Conference, National Association of Insurance and  Financial Advisors, Inc., National Association of Women Business Owners,  Social Media Dames Unconference, as well as numerous  college/universities; corporate organizations, sales teams,  leadership teams, and service organizations.

Prior to Career Polish

I  spent nearly a decade in the financial industry responsible for and  trained in management, leadership, recruiting, coaching, development and  compliance for Fortune 500 and small companies including Merrill Lynch,  Prudential and McDonald Investments/Key Bank.

I previously held Series 7, 63, 65, 9, 10, 26

Life & Health and Property  & Casualty

On the personal side...

My  direct approach is a result of an amazing father, raising boys and Chief (he is my better half). You might hear pup in the  background, he's the official office dog.  I am a huge fan of  nature, the Cubs, shoes, diners/dives, and inspirational quotes. In fact, if  you connect with me on LinkedIn or follow me on Twitter, you will see a  post from me every workday of a positive thought or inspirational quote.

I take all my health very seriously. I work out six days a week for my physical health and exploring nature/unplug on the weekends for my  mental health.  I practice regular contemplation, reflection and gratitude for my spiritual health.    And I contribute to amazing  organizations that support, encourage and empower women, cancer  survivors, military and business professionals for my emotional health.

I wish you much success in your endeavors!
